445908 In continuation of my despatch No.287 dated
or
the 2nd. instant on the subject of the proposed disposal
by the Military Authorities to a new Tramway Company of a
corner of Murray Battery, I have the honour to transmit for
your information copies of two letters addressed by the
General Officer Commanding the Troops in South China to the
Secretary of the War Office, which Major-General Hatton has
been good enough to send me.

The letters do not appear to require any com-
ment from me.
